Who We Are

Who are we? Where did we come from? Who and what made us into this church? To help answer these questions, the Historical Commission of the Milwaukee Diocese, in collaboration with the archives of the diocese, offers you this intimate history series.   Here, you will get to know some of the people who, by working out their faith, have added to the character and identity of the diocese. You will see, up close, what makes us unique as Episcopalians and how God has led us to where we are now. As we open our hearts to where God will lead us in the coming years, it is our prayer that these stories will bring you closer to your faith, history, and identity.

This project was funded in part by a grant from the Historical Society of the Episcopal Church.
