Support the Haiti Partnership this Christmas season

December 15, 2022

Dear Friends,

In this Christmas season, we celebrate the gift of abundant life and limitless love in the birth of Jesus. In celebrating God’s gift to us, we also commit ourselves to become the very gift we receive — we are the Body of Christ, the hands and the heart of the Lord Jesus in this broken, beautiful world.

For over forty years, members and friends of the Diocese of Milwaukee have pledged themselves to be the gift of life and education and medical care for our sisters and brothers in Haiti. Together, we have discovered again and again that in giving our gifts we receive more than we could have imagined. That’s the way it is with God’s generosity.

The need for our care in Haiti is greater than ever. We have renewed our commitment to our friends there, fellow members of Christ’s Body, and we have promised to support them in ways that honor their own self-determination and their own gifts. The challenges are great. Our friends need our help to achieve their goals, and we need their faith and their witness to God’s grace.

Christ is born in us, and we are called to be agents of his love in the world. I ask you to consider a gift to the Haiti Partnership in the Diocese of Milwaukee. Please be generous.

In Christ,

The Rt. Rev. Jeff Lee
Bishop Provisional of Milwaukee
