Commission on Global Reconciliation
Millennium Development Goals and Sustainable Development Goals
The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are eight goals agreed to in 2000 by 189 heads of state and government ― including the United States ― from around the world that address the deepest material brokenness in the world today. The MDGs were endorsed by the 2003 General Convention and have provided structure and focus for the mission of many dioceses, congregations
Since 2006 our diocese has allocated 0.7% of the diocesan budget to support work done to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
In 2016 the MDGs were replaced by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which extend and build on the achievements of the MDGs.
