In response to the House of Bishop's March 7, 2018, statement urging the observance of A Day of  Lament and Action on March 14, one month to the day after the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, two services are planned in the Diocese of Milwaukee:

A Lament for the Culture of Gun Violence: A Service of Christian Prayer
Wednesday, March 14, at 5:30 pm
All Saints' Cathedral (818 E. Juneau Avenue, Milwaukee, WI)

Bishop Miller will lead a special service of prayer next Wednesday, March 14, at 5:30 pm. This service of remembrance marks the one month anniversary of the shootings at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Bishop Miller will officiate and share his remarks. The service will include scripture, hymns, moments for reflection, remembrance of those who lost their lives and those who were injured, and a lament for the culture of gun violence. Wednesday, March 14, at 5:30 pm
St. Andrew's Episcopal Church (833 Regent Street, Madison, WI)

A service offering special prayers and time for reflection and conversation around this tragic event and the call to each and every one of us to respond in ways that are consonant with our baptismal vow to strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being.
