"You Shall Know the Truth and the Truth Shall Set You Free"

YOUTHQUAKE is a National Youth & Youth Leaders Conference sponsored by Acts 29 Ministries.  It will be held at Ridgecrest, NC from January 18-20, 2008. There are programs for junior high and senior high school youth and adult youth leaders.

There have been groups from the Episcopal Diocese of Milwaukee Diocese attending this conference for the last 15 years, and they have great sharings of how God touched them in powerful ways, how the workshops helped them, and the fellowship & worship with over 1500 other Christian teens encouraged them.

Christ Church Delavan invites your group to caravan with them. They will leave on Thursday morning January 17, overnight at the Holiday Inn in Lexington, KY, and arrive at Ridgecrest on Friday afternoon. On the return home, they will again spend the night at the Holiday Inn in Lexington, where the teens can swim, play games, eat dinner and we have a time of sharing and discussion about the events of the weekend. Each group must have their own chaperones, must have made their own reservations at YouthQuake ahead of time, and made their own reservations at hotels along the way.

Each group is also free to go on their own, which some have done in previous years, driving straight through both ways. This weekend is Martin Luther King Holiday Weekend, so some schools are closed on the following Monday.  This allows some students that extra travel day.

Although this is not a Diocesan-sponsored event, the Youth Commission Budget is allocating $2,000 in scholarships of up to $100 per person for those who would like to attend. The actual amount of the scholarship depends on how many apply by the deadline of December 1st. The scholarships will come to your church for disbursement to you for YouthQuake.
