The Center for Faith Formation and Discipleship offers adults up to three years of study in the areas of Holy Scripture, Church History, Theology, Contemporary Society, and Spiritual Tradition. Classes meet on Saturdays, the first semester in the eastern part of the Diocese and the second in the Madison area. Tuition is $75 per course. Courses consist of lecture and discussion, and instructors may assign additional reading and projects beyond the material presented in the textbook. Persons preparing for ordination to the Vocational Diaconate and approved by the Commission on Ministry complete their academic requirements through this program, although most courses are open to all adult members of the Diocese. Instructors include both clergy and laity. Those studying for the diaconate also complete a pastoral care internship and a parish internship during the three years of Formation.
(* indicates courses limited to those studying for the Vocational Diaconate.)
